Wheelchair Technology With Mind Power

With advances in technology who would have thought in the future we can use our mind or brain to move the means of transportation and various other types of devices.

This could possibly happen, this time Toyota has made a leap far ahead in the development of control technology. Toyota has developed a way to control a wheelchair with brain waves.

Users do not need to move one ototpun or barking orders. The system moves the object by using brain wave is called Brain Machine Interface (BMI).

Excess system developed by Toyota this time is the fastest system in the world in terms of analyzing brain waves. The system is so far take several seconds to read and analyze brain waves. Toyota's technology requires only 125 milliseconds. 1 millisecond equal to one thousandth of a second. This means that with such speed, the user does not feel the delay between the desired response wheelchair.

Wheelchair users to use headgear equipped with electrodes to read the brain waves are transmitted to the brain scans electroencephalograph, or EEG, which is translated into movement by the electric wheelchair.

This system allows users to move to the left or right and forward almost instantly. But to stop, can not just think about it. Users have to inflate his cheeks that will translate the existing detectors in the face as sign of stopping. Toyota's plan is not going to produce in bulk, because it still would continue to be developed in order to become more perfect.
